One of the projects I am working on at the moment involves a band named Sky’s The Limit, this will be spread out over 7 weeks in total due to availability, we estimate to have over 60 hours of studio time clocked. The project is an EP release containing 5 cover songs and 2 remixes for a total of 7 tracks (initially is was 4 covers, but has since expanded to 5). This projects involves a team of four; Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Producer and Runner. The tracks will be remixed by EMP Producer Chris Dynasty. https://soundcloud.com/chris-dynasty. Included in this release will be a printed CD with artwork.
Experimenting with Ableton & Synthesis
It’s been awhile since i’ve stepped into the world of EMP but i’ve enjoyed playing around in Ableton Live 9 to make this little track.
It’s a track influenced by Flume and the glitch hop type genres. It started off with a rapper named Krownn about a year ago, it was recorded to a completely different track and nothing ever happened with the vocals, so I thought I would use those as the main influence and see where it ended up.
How well does our cover compare?
Deadmau5 and Synthesis
Deadmau5 (DeadMouse) AKA Joel Thomas Zimmerman Born 1981 is one of the world's most favorite EMP producers. I had the privilege to see him live many years ago and I was really impressed with his music and show.
Deadmau5 has rolled with the times of music, never getting stale or left behind, rather pushing the boundaries of experimentation, managing to stay fresh and modern. A quote from Deadmau5s’ web bio is “The most impactful revolutions aren't planned, plotted or premeditated They simply happen” (Deadmau5, 2012).

Insight into the making of "Otherside" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Chili Peppers were originally a funk / punk band, delivering their style of music with attitude and a “huge onstage presence” (they had been known to play naked with just a sock on). Their first album “The Red Hot Chili Peppers” was released in August 1984 via EMI records. The band members at this time of this release were Anthony Kiedis (vocals), Jack Irons (drums), Michael Peter Balzary otherwise knows as Flea (bass) and Hillel Slovak (Guitar).
From a box of cereal to a No.1 Album...FLUME (EMP)
Flume AKA Harley Edward Streten from Sydney started his career from a promotional CD on a box of Nutri Grain. In a relative short time Flume had a no.1 Album on the Australian Itunes Charts in 2012. The Album entitled “Flume” contains tracks from singles and an EP released in 2011. Flume is currently touring America at the ripe age of just 23 (Flume, n.d.).
